Movie Sirf Tum

Agathian directed the 1999 Indian Hindi romantic film Sirf Tum (transl. Only You). On June 4, 1999, it was released. Sanjay Kapoor, Priya Gill, Sushmita Sen, and Jackie Shroff star in the film. The film was shot in Nainital, Kerala, and Houston, Texas. It's a remake of the Tamil film Kadhal Kottai from 1996. The film was a box office hit in India, grossing roughly 10.35 crores.

Sanjay Kapoor's character Deepak Rai discovers a purse containing educational diplomas belonging to a woman named Aarti (Priya Gill). He discovers that this lady lives in Nainital and ships her belongings back to her, initiating a long-distance correspondence via letters.

Even though the couple has never seen each other, there is a mutual attraction. Aarti's sister and brother-in-law Nirmal (Tej Sapru) are encouraging to a certain extent. While Nirmal recommends that she marry Mr. Prem (Salman Khan), a well-known young businessman and business partner in his neighbourhood, Aarti's older sister wants her to pick her own life partner.

Aarti sets out on her quest to find and meet Deepak one day without informing him of her intentions. He is currently based in Delhi due to a temporary job contract with his boss Neha. Deepak's supervisor, Neha (Sushmita Sen), is romantically attracted to him as well, but Deepak is not.

Aarti has a special place in his heart. He resigns as a result of this, and in order to make ends meet, he starts driving an auto rickshaw at the urging of Pritam (Jackie Shroff), whom he knew when he first arrived in Delhi and who assisted him when he didn't have a house of his own.

Aarti had given Deepak a woollen jumper with an image of a "lit diya" stitched over it during the communication a few months ago. When Aarti arrives in Delhi, she searches for Deepak's residence and workplace in the hopes of surprising him with her presence and learning more about him.

She is unable to locate Deepak and chooses to return because a week has passed and the clock is ticking. She might not have another opportunity to meet him. She regrettably arrives at the train station to return home.

Unbeknownst to Aarti, when her rickshaw broke down when she first arrived in Delhi, she had borrowed Deepak's vehicle and spent the entire day with him. Someone spills coffee on Deepak's shirt while he is dropping her off at the station.

Deepak takes off his shirt to show a woollen sweater underneath. Aarti recognises it and cries out his name, and they both recognise one other and how they had spent the entire time looking for each other.

Pritam and Jency (Jaya Bhattacharya) look at Aarti and Deepak as they embrace each other at the end of the film.
